This weekend has been comparatively quiet on the racing front for Chorlton Runners, but we always have some club successes to report.
Out on the hills we had a fantastic turnout of 16 runners at the Baslow Bolt, a new 12k fell race in the Peak District. Congratulations to all who ran and especially to Fraser, who was a brilliant 2nd overall and Alice S, who was 3rd female.
In Tintwistle near Glossop Gary and Rosemary ran the Gravy Pud Fell Race and congratulations to Rosemary for winning her age category prize (F65).
The Wesham 10k in Lancashire is one of the North West’s oldest continually running 10k road races and regularly attracts a good quality large field of runners. Brilliant result for Ben H with a new PB of 34:14, a great new PB also for Katie McI and a fine run from Emma T. Meanwhile over in Sheffield Steve W had a good run at the Percy Pud 10k on an ‘undulating’ course.
Closer to home Sarah K and Jo ran the Manchester Pudding Dash, a 5 mile trail race in Wythenshawe Park.
And on a cold but beautiful frosty Sunday morning we had our usual great selection of group runs led by our lovely volunteer run leaders.
Well done everyone!
