CHORLTON RUNNERS TAKE HOME GOLD, SILVER AND BRONZE AT JOE MORAN VETS EVENT

CHORLTON Runners Katherine Murray, Luke Kelly and Hannah Coates all attended the Joe Moran Veterans' track and field event on Wednesday 7th June where between them the scooped a haul of medals.

Katherine took part in 100m, 200m and 400m, winning two golds and a silver respectively in the V35 age category.

Hannah took part in the 100m, 3000m and 400m winning silver, gold and bronze respectively in V35 category.

Luke took part in 100m, high jump and long jump winning a silver and two golds.

Hannah said: “The commentary man was really pleased that Luke asked if he could do high jump having never done it before.

“There were people from all ages there, from 35+ to over 85.

“A notable win was from a gentleman who won the v85 100m having played golf on the morning.

“It's held every year at the regional athletics track next to the Ethihad. Another notable event they organise is the Manchester Mile.”

The Manchester Mile takes place on 21st June and last entries are 16th.
